Hawzah News Agency- Hujjat al-Islam Mohsen Rabbani, the former representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader in Latin America, announced this news on Sunday, September 2 and said,” With God's infinite grace and the blessing of the Islamic Revolution, the translation of the Holy Quran into Spanish, after 15 years of research by the translators of Cultural-Artistic Eastern Thought Institute has been completed in Qom.”

He stated that in this translation of the Quran, in addition to the Institute of Eastern Thought, The Spanish-language seminary of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (PBUH) and Al-Mustafa International University also participated, as well as Sheikh Mustafa Al-Salvadori as a collaborator, proofreader and editor of the translation.

He said,” Basically, translation is a precise work, especially if it is the translation of the divine word; Therefore, it was inevitable to pay attention to most of the existing dictionaries as well as the Quran in order to carry out the necessary accuracy in the translation process.”

The director of Andisheh Sharq Cultural Institution further pointed out that more than 20 Spanish, English, Portuguese, Arabic and Persian translations were examined and researched in the translation of the word of God into Spanish, and added,” Unfortunately, the existing translations have some problems, however in this translation, we have tried not to repeat the previous problems.”

He listed having a Quran with a correct, readable and reliable translation as one of the important needs of more than 650 million Spanish speakers around the world and added,” Our effort has been to prepare and present a clear and smooth translation for the Spanish-speaking community, and we hope that we have been able to the best of our ability in order to promote the Holy Quran, this divine miracle and this scientific and spiritual heritage of Islam in the world.”
